Almquist
Student Ministries Pastor
Pastor Steve Almquist has served as head of Meadow Park Student Ministries for over three years. Steve became a Christian when he was just four years old while sitting and talking with his dad in the family car. Steve had heard about Jesus in Sunday School, and knew that he wanted Jesus in his heart. In the summer of 1989, Steve knew that God was calling him to Youth ministry during a powerful work mission in Mexico. In Steve’s words, “I really enjoy teenagers. I love that they don’t know the phrase ‘it can’t be done,’ and that they are making their faith their own.” Steve has a wonderful wife, Anne, and two great kids, Cody and Grace. Steve’s favorite Scripture is John 3:16 (our favorite, too), and, oh yeah, he is a nut about trucks and a great sirloin steak. Steve enjoys camping, riding ATVs, and yard work (grab your hoe and get to those weeds, Steve)! |
